Of particular value to me for this project was to have someone that could easily understand the complex nature of food banking and be able to translate that complexity into a realistic and executable plan.  Carmen, Maxwell SMART Solutions, LLC clearly understood my expectations and within a matter of days developed a template that outlined key performance areas for every department and a monitoring/evaluation system for tracking major actions.  Six months later, I still reference her work for other projects.

Valerie B. Traore, CEO

  A limited liability company

Ms. Maxwell and the team evaluated the operational efficiencies of Howard University's procurement department, including its organizational structure, use of technology, and overall business practices.  She helped transform Howard University's procurement procedures from tactical to strategic, and with the team identified clearly defined goals, objectives, and performance measures.

Ms. Maxwell was able to achieve these results by effectively building relationships with the client and key stakeholders.  She regularly communicated with Howard University senior management, to ensure that their concerns were properly addressed.  In addition, she coordinated the team's efforts to create a seamless end product, oftentimes under strenuous deadlines.  As the team leader/administrator, Ms. Maxwell used a pragmatic approach to solve problems.  Her ideas and recommendations were well received by both the team and the client.

My name is Kevin Phelps and I'm the Vice President of TEKsystems? Financial Services Vertical.  TEKsystems is a 2.7 Billion dollar privately held corporation that specializes in IT consulting services.

For the past 17, I've had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ms. Maxwell.  Together, the two of us were critical parts of an executive team that built a privately held company, Maxim Group Inc., from $1million in sales in 1991 to over $700million by 2001.  Over this period of time, Carmen was responsible for all consulting operations.  She built high-performance teams that created opportunities for the organization to add real value to its customers.  She worked tirelessly to ensure that Maxim Group never lost sight of its most important asset, its employees.
